Lines that are very similar in the route they take and share can be linked together. This will update your app and/or website to show the timetables linked together. This offers passengers different options for their journey when viewing timetables and journey plans. For example, linking a "7" and a "7a" line will mean both lines are shown together when viewing the timetable for either line, with the line name shown as a column header.

Log in to Passenger Cloud, our admin system, and select 'Network' then 'Lines'. If you are unable to see this option you may not have the required permissions to make this change. To request the required permissions please seek approval internally and contact help@passengerteam.com to request access.

From here click on the Lines tab in Passenger Cloud. Select the primary line, for example, line 7 as stated in the example above. Then, scroll down to the 'Linked Lines' section. Here you have the choice to select single or multiple lines by holding down the Ctrl button on Windows or the Cmd button on Mac and clicking on the associated lines.

To confirm your new timetable group, click the 'Update Line' button at the bottom of the list of lines.

Note: linking lines that are not similar will lead to timetables with lots of "-" and will be confusing to users.

To unlink a line, hold down the Ctrl button on Windows or the Cmd button on Mac and click on the lines that you wish to unlink in the linked lines list. Clicking the 'Update Line' button will then confirm this action.
